On March 2, JFE Iron and Steel Company and Northeastern University jointly announced that they set up a joint laboratory of green steel on February 1 to jointly study environment-friendly green steel materials and their production process.
It is reported that JFE Steel and Northeastern University will set up three joint creative operation teams in the laboratory, responsible for process research and development, material development, marketing planning and promotion. JFE Steel will utilize Northeastern University's latest numerical analysis technology in the planned pilot project.
It is reported that the green Steel joint laboratory is set up in the materials Development Department of Northeastern University Graduate School of Engineering cooperation research department. From February 2022 to March 2025, the lab will provide an environment for interdisciplinary industrial academic collaboration between corporate technologists and university researchers. The lab encourages young researchers to get involved in developing commercial projects to train future steel experts. (Kang Jun-gang)
